Driver's Privacy Protection Act can't be used to shield red-light traffic citations

"U.S. District Judge Robert Hinkle ruled the city of Tallahassee and its red-light camera vendor must disclose information printed on violations, including names, in public record requests.

A year ago, the Tallahassee Democrat filed a lawsuit against the city and ACS State & Local Solutions when officials refused to produce a July 2011 records request for a complete list, including names, of those who received a violation notice since the program began. "
