Indiana hides public records

"Indiana lawmakers made progress in this past legislative session, instituting – for the first time – a penalty against public officials who deliberately violate “sunshine laws,” so named because those laws seek to bring government action and information into the light of day. The Indiana Supreme Court has been aggressively expanding the state’s online database of court records – searchable and available 24/7 over the Internet. Locally, more city and county records are available online."
