"Colorado House Bill 1036 would expand government and regulatory authority to withhold investigative records from public view. The measure has been proposed by the Colorado Attorney General’s Office to counter a recent ruling by the Colorado Court of Appeals. That ruling stripped the AG’s authority to withhold information the attorney general believes, if released, would alert suspected wrongdoers of ongoing investigations against them."
