W.Va. lawmakers revisit 'public record' in FOIA

"A document's content or context could soon help determine its release under West Virginia's Freedom of Information Act.

The House of Delegates unanimously passed that proposed update of the open government law to the state Senate on Wednesday.

The measure defines public record as any writing prepared or received by a public body, if its content or context relates to the public's business."
