~ find ww2 holocaust area residents, survivors and victims ~

The Czestochowa-Radomsko Area Research Group has catalogued more than 1/4 million Holocaust records, focusing on Jews who lived in Poland before the war or who were in Poland during the war. Jewish Records Indexing "is the largest fully searchable database of Jewish vital records accessible online. More than 2.6 million records from 400 Polish towns are now indexed."

Yad Vashem has a continuing project to add the names of all known holocaust victims to its online database. Currently, there are about half of the estimated 6 million names.

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum website provides numerous educational resources. An online database searchable by place names, keywords and authors provides a detail of matching documents and the institution where they are housed.
